Rumors are suggesting that 27-year-old Japanese model, Masuwaka Tsubasa is considering divorcing her husband of four years, 29-year-old actor Umeda Naoki by the year's end, according to Tokyo Hive's website.
Several sources have revealed that the reason for the divorce is due to their "difference in beliefs". A certain source states, "Ever since Masuwaka became popular, there's been a big change in their values and sense of money."
The couple has been seen living separately since late-February and Masukawa suggested for a divorce sometime in August. Counting in the fact that Umeda wasn't present at Masukawa's birthday party on 12 October; the rumors may very well be true.
An attorney has already been hired by Umeda which shows her plans to continue with her divorce proceedings. Although they have no financial problems, there is a possibility of a legal battle over custody of their 3-year old son. The divorce will be finalized by the end of the year, at the earliest.
Masuwaka and Umeda got married on Christmas day in 2007. In April of the following year, they welcomed their first son, and were supposedly leading a healthy family life.
Both of their agencies denied the reports saying, "They are not separated, and they will not be getting a divorce." However, alternative sources say, "Mending the relationship is impossible."
